The situation in Belarus is a challenge for Poland, Germany and the entire European Union. Poland and Lithuania are helping the Belarusian oppositionists and supporting civil society. Poland has also taken in a significant number of Belarusians fleeing persecution. In turn, the migration and the border crisis is a source of serious criticism.
