Episode Summary

As a kid Nahum Sokołów and his friends pretended they were knights fighting with swords just outside the synagogue in Wyszogród. In Płock Nahum received a scholarship to develop his outstanding intelligence. Later Sokołów negotiated the return of the Jews to Palestine with the Pope and the leaders of France and Great Britain. He wrote thousands of articles and dozens of books. He invented the name Tel Aviv. However, he never stopped thinking and writing in Polish, and in his family home the word "Płocczanin", a citizen of Płock, always rang with pride and merited trust.
